In September 2023, the CHAMPS program joined hands with the CDC to enroll and work with 100 hospitals across the US and surrounding territories on reducing racial disparities in breastfeeding rates and maternal-child health practices. There are 6 CHAMPS National certified hospitals in West Virginia as of August 2024.
